PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION:
Aramid, also well known as Kevlar®, is a kind of organic fiber with good thermal stability. Under the temperature of 180℃, aramid is very stable, can be used for a long time. Only when temperature goes up to 500℃, thermal decomposition starts. Therefore, aramid used as a friction material, will contribute to the following good performances: stable friction coefficient, low wear rate, and good thermal stability. Besides, aramid also acquires other general engineering fibers’ characteristics, such as high elastic modulus and low thermal conductivity. Thus brake pads contained of aramid always show characteristics: low noise, low hardness, low weight, stable friction coefficient, etc.
